Ceramic Veneers

Dental veneers are thin pieces of porcelain material that is used to cover the front surface of a tooth to improve the aesthetics and to protect the tooth’s surface from further damage. Ceramic Veneers are permanent cemented onto the teeth and can improve their appearance by changing the size, shape, colour and length.

Veneers is a really good option if you have the following conditions:

  • Stained and discoloured teet
  • Teeth that are fractured, chipped or cracked on the surface
  • Worn down teeth
  • Uneven or misaligned teeth
  • Significant gaps between teeth

The colour for new veneers is determined by choosing from a shade guide shown by your dentist. The ideal shade for each patient is based on complexion, skin tone and the colour of surrounding teeth. This is often a very exhilarating time for a patient , especially if they have never had bright and white teeth before.

The after care for veneers is very basic, as they are designed to last between ten and fifteen years, flossing and brushing regularly to prevent tooth decay is required. Also regular dental cleanings and check-ups are a priority!
